SIT Pune Placements: Official Year-wise Table (sitpune.edu.in)
This is the headline data any SIT Pune placement decision should start from — the year-wise table that Symbiosis Institute of Technology publishes on its own placements page, with each figure tied to the academic year it belongs to. No blending of years, no cherry-picked batch highlights.
📌 In one line: placement figures per institute disclosures — year-labeled; verify current data.
| Academic Year | Students Placed | Highest Package | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025-26* | 94% | ₹27 LPA | *Season ongoing — as-on-date figures; both numbers can still move before the season closes. |
| 2024-25 | 92% | ₹24 LPA | Completed season, per official page. |
| 2023-24 | 91% | ₹50 LPA | Palo Alto Networks — the highest offer on the official record. |
| 2022-23 | 97% | ₹36.5 LPA | Official page also lists a ₹40 LPA international offer this year. |
| 2021-22 | 98% | ₹42 LPA | Highest year-wise placement rate in the recent official record. |
Source: sitpune.edu.in official placements page (year-wise table), 2025-26 row verified 2 July 2026 with the season still ongoing; 2022-23 and 2021-22 rows as captured from the same official table in our verified corpus. International offers are tracked separately by SIT (e.g., ₹40 LPA international in 2022-23, ₹22.18 LPA in 2023-24).
How to Read the 94%, ₹50 LPA and ₹27 LPA Numbers
Three reading rules keep this data honest. First, the year label matters. The famous ₹50 LPA Palo Alto Networks offer belongs to 2023-24 — it is not the current season's highest. The ongoing 2025-26 season's highest so far is ₹27 LPA, and 2024-25 closed at ₹24 LPA. Any page that quotes "₹50 LPA highest package" without the 2023-24 label is overstating the current cycle.
Second, "ongoing" means the number is still moving. The 94% placed figure for 2025-26 is an as-on-date statistic published while companies are still hiring; it can rise before the season closes and should not be compared one-to-one with a finished year like 2023-24 (91% final). Third, a highest package is one offer to one student. The far more useful planning number is the average — covered next — because that is what a median SIT Pune graduate can actually anchor expectations to.
The trend itself is worth noting: the official rate moved from 98% (2021-22) and 97% (2022-23) down to 91% (2023-24) and 92% (2024-25), consistent with the broader engineering hiring slowdown, before the current 2025-26 season's 94% as-on-date reading. That transparency — publishing a down-year rather than hiding it — is exactly why we lead with the official table.
SIT Pune Average Package: The Number SIT Does Not Publish
SIT Pune's placements page publishes placement rates and highest packages, but no official average package. The most defensible average comes from Mandatory Disclosure-based reporting for the graduating Class of 2025: roughly ₹8.91–9.25 LPA for B.Tech. Treat any site quoting a precise single "SIT Pune average package" without a year and source with suspicion.

| Metric | Value | Year / Batch | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Average package (B.Tech) | ~₹8.91–9.25 LPA | Class of 2025 | Mandatory Disclosure-based reporting; SIT does not publish an average on its placements page |
| Highest package (national) | ₹50 LPA | 2023-24 | sitpune.edu.in placements page (Palo Alto Networks) |
| Highest, current season | ₹27 LPA | 2025-26 (ongoing) | sitpune.edu.in placements page, as-on-date |

Brochure Numbers vs the Official Placements Page (99.67% Explained)
You will also see a second, higher series quoted for SIT Pune — 99.67% for the 2025 batch — which comes from SIT's placement brochure, not the placements page. Both are SIT-published, but they are different series computed differently: the brochure reports batch-wise outcomes (typically against students registered/eligible for placements), while the placements page reports year-wise, as-on-date percentages. Everything in the table below is brochure data and should be labeled as such wherever it is quoted.
📌 In one line: placement figures per institute disclosures — year-labeled; verify current data.
| Batch (brochure series) | % Placed (brochure) | Official placements-page figure for comparison |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 batch | 99.67% | 92% (2024-25) / 94% (2025-26, ongoing) |
| 2024 batch | 93.89% | 91% (2023-24) |
| 2023 batch | 96% | 97% (2022-23) |
| 2022 batch | 96.66% | 98% (2021-22) |
The brochure also gives a branch-wise split for the B.Tech 2022-26 batch: CSE 91%, CS (AI & ML) 89%, Robotics 86%, E&TC 85% and Mechanical 79% placed — a useful relative signal (circuit and computing branches place better) even if the absolute numbers follow brochure methodology.

Top Offers on Record (Brochure, B.Tech 2022-26 Batch)
The brochure's top-offer board for the 2022-26 window, restricted here to recruiters we could verify against SIT's own official multi-year recruiter records: Palo Alto Networks ₹50 LPA (the 2023-24 official highest), Rakuten ₹40 LPA, Trilogy Innovations ₹37 LPA, Walmart Global Tech ₹27 LPA, Juspay ₹27 LPA, NVIDIA ₹26 LPA, Workday ₹24 LPA and PhonePe ₹23 LPA. These are individual offers, not typical outcomes — anchor expectations to the ~₹8.91–9.25 LPA Class-of-2025 average, not the board.

Placements vs Fees: The SIT Pune ROI Math
Placement numbers only mean something against what you pay. Per the official SIU 2026-27 schedule, SIT Pune B.Tech tuition is ₹4,00,000/year for CSE and AI&ML (~₹16 lakh over four years), ₹3,75,000/year for E&TC (~₹15 lakh) and ₹3,00,000/year for Mechanical, Civil and both Robotics programmes (~₹12 lakh) — academic fees may rise up to 10% over the programme, and a one-time refundable ₹20,000 deposit applies. Hostelers add roughly ₹2.44–2.89 lakh/year (four-sharing ₹1,24,100 to three-sharing ₹1,68,900, plus mess ₹1,19,600).
Against the Class-of-2025 average of ~₹8.91–9.25 LPA, a CSE day-scholar's four-year tuition (~₹16 lakh) equals under two years of average gross salary — a reasonable private-deemed-university equation, and better still for the ₹12-lakh Mechanical/Civil/Robotics tracks if you land in the 79–86% (brochure, 2022-26 batch) that places. The honest caveat: at the official 91–94% year-wise rates (2023-24 to 2025-26), roughly one student in twelve to fifteen was not placed in-season, so the downside case is not zero. Full component-wise costs are on the SIT Pune fees and SIT Pune hostel fees pages.

Getting In: The Non-CAP Route Behind These Placements
SIT Pune is a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) — it sits outside Maharashtra CAP, so there is no CAP round and no state counselling seat here; admission is a non-CAP route run by SIU. Entry is via SITEEE (SIT's own test: Physics 15 + Chemistry 15 + Mathematics 30 = 60 questions, 120 marks, no negative marking; Test 1 on 2 May 2026, Test 2 on 10 May 2026; register by 15 April 2026; ₹2,250 per test plus ₹1,000 institute registration), or via JEE Main / MHT-CET scores, followed by a Personal Interaction round.
As admission benchmarks (estimates from observed admission trends — SIT publishes no percentile list, and these are not official CAP figures): CSE has recently needed around a 93 percentile MHT-CET-equivalent (2025 estimate), with JEE Main expectations around 90–94 percentile for CSE/AI-ML in 2026. Branch-wise benchmark estimates are on the SIT Pune cutoff benchmarks page, the exam itself is broken down on the SITEEE 2026 page, and the full route map — fees, dates, Direct Quota (DQ) and NRI — is in the SIT Pune admission guide.
