Who We Are and What This Covers

FindUrCollege (“we”, “our”, “us”), operated by Find Your College, is an independent admission-counselling platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who else sees it, and what you can make us do about it. It applies when you use findurcollege.com, submit an enquiry form, or contact us on WhatsApp or by phone. Effective from 1 January 2025.

Information We Collect

• Contact details: name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address — given when you contact us or submit a form.
• Academic profile: marks, entrance-exam scores, preferred stream, preferred city, budget and — where a form asks for them — your date of birth and reservation category, shared during counselling. Date of birth is required only on the enrolment form; category is always optional.
• Documents: mark sheets and certificates — only when you send them to us for admission assistance.
• Location: city and state, from your form submission, so we can suggest colleges you can realistically reach.
• Website analytics: IP address, device type and pages visited, collected automatically.

After the retention period the data is deleted or anonymised, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer.

• Providing personalised college admission counselling
• Matching your profile with suitable colleges
• Sending admission deadline and event information relevant to your stream
• Processing admission applications, with your consent
• Improving our website and services

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Data Sharing with Colleges

We share your details with a college only when you ask us to apply or enquire on your behalf, and only the information that college needs to process it — typically your name, contact details and academic profile. College representatives do not receive anything beyond that. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

Third-Party Service Providers

A small number of processors handle limited data on our behalf, each under their own privacy and security commitments. We give each one only the minimum needed for its specific function, and only once you have used the relevant service:

• Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd) — consent-gated, anonymised usage analytics.
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) — measures how our Facebook and Instagram advertising performs. It may set cookies and share limited event data, such as page views and form submissions, with Meta. You can manage this in your Meta ad settings.
• Cloudflare — privacy-friendly performance and security analytics.
• Web3Forms — secure delivery of enquiry-form submissions to our counselling team.
• Razorpay — PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing, used only if you buy one of our optional paid packages or settle dues. Your card, UPI or netbanking details are entered on Razorpay’s own gateway and are never seen or stored by us.
• Resend — transactional email, such as payment confirmations.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We ask for your consent through a cookie banner on your first visit. You can decline, or withdraw consent later through the banner or your browser settings. Declining does not affect the counselling you receive.

These tools do not identify you to us personally, and we never sell your data.

Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop processing it, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

• To exercise any of these: email support@findurcollege.com or WhatsApp +91 91126 50438 with the word “Privacy Request” and your name.
• We respond to any data request within 7 working days.
• Deletions are completed and confirmed within 15 working days, subject to any legal retention obligation.
• To stop marketing messages only, reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us. We keep your enquiry on file but stop contacting you.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Form submissions are processed through Web3Forms. Our counsellor database is access-controlled, so only the counsellors handling your enquiry can see your details. We do not store payment information on our servers — payments are handled entirely by a PCI-DSS-compliant gateway.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for students aged 17 and above, the standard college-admission age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a minor’s data has been collected without it, contact our Grievance Officer and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

We link to college and university websites, NEET and JEE counselling portals, and government admission sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and their own data practices, which we do not control. Read the policy of any site you reach from ours.

As required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, FindUrCollege has a designated Grievance Officer for privacy complaints and data-protection requests.

We acknowledge every privacy complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 working days. If we cannot resolve it, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act 2023.

Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of India, and any dispute about it is subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy as our services change or as the law does. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept it.
