Editorial Policy

Where our numbers come from

Every fee, cutoff, seat count, ranking and placement figure on our pages comes from an official primary source: the institute's own website, brochure or fee card, a statutory regulator (NMC, AICTE, UGC, a state fee authority), a counselling body (MCC, KEA, CET Cell, JoSAA), NIRF, or the exam authority itself. Admissions aggregator websites are not admissible sources for any figure we print — not even as corroboration.

Beside our data tables you will see a line naming the exact document a figure came from and the date we read it — for example: “Official source: DMS IIT Delhi, Admission – MBA page, fee section for the 2025-27 batch, read 24 August 2026.” A figure without a named document does not ship.

Year labels, and what we do when data is missing

Fees, cutoffs and placement numbers change every cycle, so every changing figure carries the academic year or batch it belongs to. Where an institute has not published something, we print “not listed” — never a guess, never a projection, never an “expected” number dressed up as data. Provisional figures are marked provisional.

Who writes and reviews our pages

Pages are written and updated by our counselling team and reviewed for factual accuracy by the counsellor who actually owns that subject — an MBA page is reviewed by the MBA admissions lead, a BDS page by the allied-health lead. The reviewer named on a page is the person who checked it, and their printed role matches their profile on our About page word for word.

Corrections — our 48-hour promise

If you spot an error in any figure on any page, tell us the page and the section: WhatsApp +91 91126 50438 or email support@findurcollege.com. We re-check the claim against the official document and correct the page within 48 hours. We would rather be corrected by a reader than let a wrong number guide a decision.

Our dates mean something

The Published date on a page never changes. The Last updated date moves only when the content meaningfully changes — new official data, a corrected figure, a new section. We do not bump dates to look fresh, and the update date you see on the page is the same date in the page's metadata.

What we never do

• No fabricated fees, cutoffs, dates, reviews or testimonials — ever.
• No “expected cutoff” projections presented as data.
• No self-assigned star ratings or invented rankings.
• No information locked behind sign-up walls — fees, cutoffs and official PDFs on our pages are open.
• No publishing of college staff members' personal phone numbers or emails.
• No management-quota or “direct admission” claims for institutes that admit purely on merit — where a seat cannot be bought, we say so plainly.

Independence

FindUrCollege is an independent counselling platform. We are not affiliated with any regulator, and listing an institute does not mean it endorses us or we endorse it. Counselling is free for students — no agent fees. Where we host an institute's official document (a placement report, a fee circular), it is the unmodified original, credited to the institute.
