SIT Pune Official B.Tech Fee Structure 2026-27 (Indian Students)
Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Pune is a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), so one fee schedule applies to every merit admission route — SITEEE, JEE Main or MHT-CET score plus the Personal Interaction round (a non-CAP route). There is no separate state-regulated fee row: the numbers below are the official SIU 2026-27 figures, branch by branch, with the deposit and instalment split exactly as the university publishes them.

| Programme | Academic fee (p.a.) | Deposit (refundable) | 1st-year total | 1st instalment | 2nd instalment |

Source: sitpune.edu.in / official SIU B.Tech fee schedule 2026-27. The 1st instalment confirms your seat within 5 days of the offer letter; the 2nd instalment is due 25 Nov 2026. The ₹20,000 institute deposit is one-time and refundable.
Two structural points matter for budgeting. First, the 1st instalment is a flat ₹1,70,000 for every branch — the branch-wise difference shows up only in the 2nd instalment. That means the cash you need ready in offer week is identical whether you accept CSE or Civil. Second, the schedule explicitly allows academic fees to rise up to 10% over the programme, so treat the year-wise projections below as current-rate figures, not a locked four-year contract.
SIT Pune B.Tech Fees Year-wise — 4-Year Total Cost
This is the year-wise view most fee searches actually want. Year 1 includes the refundable ₹20,000 deposit; Years 2–4 show the academic fee at current 2026-27 rates.

| CSE / AI & ML | ₹4,20,000 | ₹4,00,000 | ₹4,00,000 | ₹4,00,000 | ₹16,20,000 |
| E&TC | ₹3,95,000 | ₹3,75,000 | ₹3,75,000 | ₹3,75,000 | ₹15,20,000 |
| Mechanical / Civil / Robotics & Automation / Robotics & AI | ₹3,20,000 | ₹3,00,000 | ₹3,00,000 | ₹3,00,000 | ₹12,20,000 |
*Computed at current 2026-27 rates from the official SIU schedule (source: sitpune.edu.in); includes the one-time refundable ₹20,000 deposit, excludes hostel, mess and pre-admission fees. Academic fees may rise up to 10% over the programme — with the maximum permitted rise, CSE/AI&ML tuition works out to roughly ₹16–17.6 lakh.
Read the total as tuition of ₹12 lakh (core branches), ₹15 lakh (E&TC) or ₹16 lakh (CSE/AI&ML) plus the deposit you get back at exit. If you are comparing against Maharashtra CAP colleges, remember the comparison is structural, not just numeric: a CAP college's fee is regulated annually by the state FRA, while SIT's deemed-university fee is set by SIU with a published escalation ceiling. Neither number is negotiable at admission time.

SIT Pune Hostel & Mess Fees 2026-27
The Lavale hilltop campus is residential in character — most outstation students take the hostel, so add these to your fee math:
📌 In one line: fee structure — confirm the current-year official circular before payment.
| Fee head | Indian (₹) | NRI/PIO/OCI ($) | Foreign ($) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mess fees (p.a.) | ₹1,19,600 | $1,400 | $560 |
| Hostel deposit (refundable) | ₹20,000 | $250 | $250 |
| Three-sharing hostel (p.a.) | ₹1,68,900 | $1,960 | $650 |
| Four-sharing hostel (p.a.) | ₹1,24,100 | $1,440 | $650 |
Source: sitpune.edu.in / official SIU hostel & mess schedule 2026-27. Hostel and mess fees can increase up to 15% per year; rooms are allotted first-come, first-served — apply while paying the 1st instalment. Full room-type detail is on the SIT Pune hostel fees page.
Mess is mandatory for hostelers, so the realistic living cost is hostel + mess together: about ₹2,43,700/year in four-sharing or ₹2,88,500/year in three-sharing at current rates — the hub's ₹2.40–2.85 lakh per annum living-cost band.
What SIT Pune Really Costs Over 4 Years (Tuition + Hostel)
Combining the official tuition and hostel/mess tables at current 2026-27 rates gives the honest all-in picture:

| Hosteler, three-sharing (+₹2,88,500/yr) | ≈ ₹27,74,000 | ≈ ₹26,74,000 | ≈ ₹23,74,000 |
Computed by FindUrCollege from the official SIU 2026-27 tuition and hostel/mess schedules (source: sitpune.edu.in), at current rates and before annual increments (academic fees up to +10% over the programme; hostel/mess up to +15% per year). Refundable deposits (₹20,000 institute + ₹20,000 hostel) are included in the totals but come back at exit.
On the return side, quote placement figures only with their year: SIT's official placement page reports 94% placed with a ₹27 LPA highest offer in the still-ongoing 2025-26 season, 92% placed with a ₹24 LPA highest in 2024-25, and 91% placed with a ₹50 LPA highest in 2023-24 (source: sitpune.edu.in/placements). Branch-wise detail and recruiter lists are on the SIT Pune placements page.
Pre-Admission Costs: SITEEE, Registration & Other Charges

| Charge | Amount | Refundable? |
|---|---|---|
| SITEEE exam fee (per test; Test 1 – 2 May 2026, Test 2 – 10 May 2026) | ₹2,250 | No |
| Institute registration fee (last date 21 May 2026) | ₹1,000 | No |
| JEE / state-score (ASGEEE) registration | ₹1,500 (waived if SITEEE fees already paid) | No |
Source: set-test.org / sitpune.edu.in official 2026 admission schedule. SITEEE itself is 60 questions — Physics 15, Chemistry 15, Mathematics 30 — for 120 marks with no negative marking; full pattern and prep notes are on the SITEEE 2026 page.
One extra line item appears in SIT's fee overview for direct/institutional-quota admissions: an annual administrative fee of ₹20,000. It is listed separately from the official Indian-student instalment table above, so confirm with SIT admissions (fees@sitpune.edu.in) whether it applies to your admission route before finalising your budget.

Scholarships & Ways to Reduce the SIT Pune Fee
Two mechanisms are worth knowing. The Golden Jubilee Scholarship is fully documented in the official 2026-27 USD schedule: Foreign-National students of Batch 2026-30 pay only $1,300 of the academic fee in every branch ($1,850 first-year total with deposit and admin). For Indian students, Symbiosis counselling material references a SIU merit scholarship for top SET/SITEEE performers credited against tuition; the exact slabs and continuation conditions are not published on a fee-schedule page we could verify, so confirm them with SIT admissions before counting the discount in your budget. Education-loan-wise, the branch-differentiated instalment plan (flat ₹1,70,000 first instalment, balance on 25 Nov 2026) matches how most banks disburse term loans, which makes the SIT schedule straightforward to finance.
Who Sets SIT Pune Fees — and Why There Is No “CAP Fee”
SIT Pune is a constituent institute of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), NAAC A++ at the university level, and sits outside the Maharashtra CAP system. Practically, that means three things for fee-searchers. First, there is one fee schedule per category (Indian / NRI-PIO-OCI / Foreign National) — no separate CAP-seat fee, no state-quota fee row, and no seat-price negotiation; every merit admission through SITEEE, JEE Main or MHT-CET scores plus the PI round pays the same published amount. Second, the fee is set by SIU with an explicit escalation ceiling (up to 10% over the programme) rather than re-approved annually by the state FRA. Third, admission benchmarks you see for SIT — including on our SIT Pune cutoff & benchmarks page — are estimates from admission trends on this non-CAP route, not officially published closing numbers, so use them for shortlisting rather than as guarantees. If a third-party site quotes a different SIT fee without citing the SIU schedule, trust the official numbers above and the anti-tout rule that applies at every legitimate institute: pay only through official SIU payment channels, never to an agent.
