Hostel is a major part of the real PICT Pune cost for outstation students, so it belongs in any honest fee answer. For PICT BTech fees and PICT Pune cost searches, use the official B.Tech Open/CAP fee of Rs 1,23,000 per year, or Rs 4.92 lakh over four years before hostel, exam and one-time charges. In short, PICT fees for 4 years BTech through Open/CAP are Rs 4.92 lakh before extras. Official 2023-24 PICT T&P data lists Rs 14.5 LPA Computer Engineering average and Rs 12.5 LPA overall average. The ILS route is costlier at Rs 2,00,000 per year, or Rs 8 lakh over four years before extras, but remains below many private-university CS programmes. PICT fee planning notes for CAP and ILS
Use the official annual fee as the base amount, then add only verified extras. For Open/CAP B.Tech planning, PICT shows Rs 1,23,000 per year. Over four academic years this becomes Rs 4.92 lakh before hostel, exam fees, deposits and any future revision. For Institute Level, Management, NRI or Against NRI UG routes, the official amount shown on the current PICT fee table is Rs 2,00,000 per year. That makes the four-year tuition planning figure Rs 8 lakh before extras. For M.Tech, the official PG fee is Rs 1,10,000 per year, with the same one-time caution deposit amount shown separately.
This distinction matters because users search for PICT fees, PICT Pune fees for 4 years BTech, PICT management quota fees, PICT ILS fees and PICT MTech fees as if they are one answer. They are not. CAP/Open, ILS and PG routes have different fee rows. Category concessions, scholarship benefits and scheme eligibility should be checked from official documents before payment. If a counselling page or third-party site gives a lower or higher number without showing the PICT/FRA source, use the official PICT fee structure first.

Against a roughly Rs 4.92 lakh four-year Open/CAP tuition (or ~Rs 9.5–10.5 lakh all-in for an outstation student), PICT’s official Training & Placement data for 2023-24 shows a Rs 42 LPA highest package, a Rs 12.5 LPA overall average, a 93.15% placement rate and 150+ recruiters, with branch averages of about Rs 14.5 LPA (Computer Engineering), Rs 13.8 LPA (IT) and Rs 11.2 LPA (E&TC).
One honesty note that most fee pages skip: an average is not what a typical student gets. PICT does not officially publish a median package, and averages are pulled up by a few very high offers — so the median (the middle student’s package) is usually lower than the Rs 12.5 LPA average. Treat the average as a ceiling-weighted indicator, not the expected outcome, and ask the PICT T&P cell for branch-wise medians if you want a realistic ROI estimate.
