💡 How to read this table: the government-share seat at ₹75,000 is the cheapest route and it is allotted purely on your NEET-UG rank through KEA counselling — there is no payment that moves you into it. The ₹4,00,000 management rate and the ₹6,00,000 NRI rate are annual tuition rates for different seat categories, not alternative totals for the same seat, and nothing here should be multiplied out into a five-year quotation: Karnataka re-notifies these rates each cycle.

Two colleges, one trust — do not mix them up. The S.D.M. Jainmatt Trust (R) runs two Ayurveda colleges, and the trust’s website carries a slide for each: A.G.M Ayurvedic Medical College, Jamkhandi (this page, KEA code I794, Bagalkot district, its slide says established 2020) and Jain AGM Ayurveda Medical College, Varur, Hubballi (KEA code I779, Dharwad district, its slide says established 2016). Both appeared separately in KEA’s 2025 AYUSH allotment list. If you are entering options or comparing fees, check the code, not the name.
Seats and course length
In one line: 60 BAMS seats are sanctioned, the course runs 5½ years, and in the 2025 Round 2 final list 24 of those seats were actually allotted through KEA.
The gap between 60 sanctioned and 24 allotted in one round is normal and worth understanding: KEA runs AYUSH counselling in rounds, and seats left after Round 2 move to later rounds and to the college’s own management and NRI quotas. A sanctioned intake tells you the ceiling, not your chances. The course itself is 4½ years of study plus a one-year compulsory rotatory internship, and the internship year is not optional — you cannot register as a practitioner without completing it.

How to read these ranks. A closing rank is the last rank that got a seat in that round, in that category — it is a record of what happened, not a cut-off you are promised. Read your own category’s row, not the General Merit row: a Scheduled Caste rural candidate at 4,20,000 was inside SCR here while a General Merit candidate at the same rank was nowhere near GM’s 2,84,974. A category missing from this table simply had no allotment at this college in Round 2; it does not mean the college is closed to it, because Round 1 and the later rounds are separate lists.
The fee column needs one caution. It reproduces exactly what KEA printed beside each allotment, and the two values are not interchangeable. The ten Karnataka reservation rows were allotted at ₹75,000 — the government-share rate for an un-aided private college. The nine OPN seats were allotted at ₹2,50,000, which is the rate Karnataka’s 2025–26 fee order lists for the Government-of-India (all-India) share at a college of this type. Neither figure is the ₹4,00,000 management rate in the fee table above, so do not read an OPN allotment as a management seat.

- BAMS: pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (minimum 50% aggregate for General; relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PWD per Karnataka rules) and a qualified NEET-UG score. Admission is via Karnataka AYUSH counselling conducted by KEA (state quota) and management/NRI quotas.

Career & scope after BAMS
BAMS graduates register as Ayurveda physicians, practise in clinics/hospitals or private practice, and can pursue MD/MS (Ayurveda), Panchakarma, pharma and wellness/research roles. BAMS is a 5½-year programme (4½ years + a 1-year internship).

Think twice if someone is pointing you at a management seat here. That is ₹4,00,000 a year for the same classroom as the ₹75,000 seat — more than five times the money — and in that same Round 2 this college was still allotting government-share seats out to All-India rank 4,32,240. Before you accept a management offer, check what your own category’s rank would have reached: reserved-category candidates in particular have paid management fees for seats their rank could have won at the government-share rate.
Two things to settle before you pay anything. First, make the written fee demand name your seat category: ₹75,000, ₹2,50,000, ₹4,00,000 and ₹6,00,000 all appear against this college in official Karnataka documents, for different categories, and a receipt that does not say which one you are on is a receipt you cannot check. Second, confirm you are looking at code I794, Jamkhandi — not I779, which is the same trust’s college at Varur near Hubballi, about 180 km away in another district.
After BAMS: internship, registration & higher studies
The programme includes a compulsory rotating internship, after which graduates register with the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the state board to practise. From there the common paths are MD/MS (Ayurveda), Panchakarma, and allied specialisations, or going straight into work — typical roles include Ayurveda clinical practice, hospital and Panchakarma roles, MD/MS (Ayurveda) specialisation, the wellness/pharma industry, teaching and research. Many A.G.M Ayurvedic Medical graduates also prepare during internship for PG-entrance exams or overseas licensure, so it pays to plan that timeline from the first year rather than the last.
