- Conducting body: BITS Pilani (Birla Institute of Technology and Science)
- Purpose: admission to the integrated first-degree (B.E./B.Pharm/M.Sc.) programmes at the BITS Pilani campuses — Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad
- Mode & frequency: Computer-based, usually conducted in two sessions around May and June
- Eligibility: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the BITS minimum aggregate
BITSAT 2026 Exam Overview
BITSAT is the single gateway to the BITS Pilani campuses, one of India’s most respected private engineering institutes. Unlike the NIT/IIT route, BITS admits entirely on the BITSAT score together with a Class 12 minimum, so a strong BITSAT performance directly secures a branch and campus. Many aspirants prepare for BITSAT alongside JEE Main as the syllabi overlap.

BITSAT 2026 Eligibility
You must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (or Biology for B.Pharm) and English, with at least 75% aggregate in PCM/PCB and at least 60% in each subject, as specified by BITS. Appearing candidates can apply subject to meeting the cut-off.
BITSAT Exam Pattern & Marking
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning and Mathematics (Biology in place of Mathematics for B.Pharm)
- 3-hour computer-based test
Marking is +3 for a correct answer and −1 for an incorrect one. There is no separate counselling — branch and campus are allotted by BITS purely on the BITSAT score and stated preferences.
