🔍 How we source the numbers on this page. Every fee, cutoff and placement figure below is taken from a named primary document — the KEA UGCET-2026 official allotment sheet, PES University’s own official 2026-27 fee page (pes.edu/fee), and PES’s own admissions and placement pages. Where PES has not published a figure (Management/NRI fee, hostel tariff, absolute branch-wise seats), this page says so rather than estimating without a label. Aggregator estimates are not used as a primary source.

Evidence note. Check the academic year printed beside every changing figure — fees, cut-offs and placement numbers are reissued each cycle, and a number from last year reads exactly like this year’s. Nothing on this page should be multiplied to reach a multi-year total. A published seat count is what exists, not what you are assured of — publication of a route share does not guarantee allotment. PES University, Bangalore is a private state university (PES University Act, 2013; NAAC A++, UGC-recognised) offering a 4-year B.Tech across its Ring Road (RR) and Electronic City (EC) campuses. For 2026, B.Tech seats are filled through KCET (Karnataka government quota, ~40%), JEE Main / PESU Merit (~45%), and the Management / Higher-Fee quota (~15%). PES does not accept COMEDK, and PESSAT is not used for B.Tech. The KCET 2025 Round 1 closing rank for CSE at RR was ~934 (General Merit — later rounds close higher, up to ~1,654 by Round 3); B.Tech tuition runs ₹4.5–5.5L/yr (merit) to ₹6–14L/yr (management); the 2025 placement drive reported a median package of ~₹12 LPA and a highest of ₹68 LPA.

PES University B.Tech Fees 2026-27

B.Tech tuition is charged per year (the same amount each year of the 4-year programme) and varies by branch and admission category. A one-time non-refundable administrative charge of ₹10,000 also applies.

KCET / JEE-Merit tuition — official (pes.edu/fee):

CSE / CSE (AIML)₹5,50,000₹22,00,000
ECE₹5,00,000₹20,00,000

Mechanical (ME) / EEE₹6,00,000₹24,00,000

NRI / Foreign / OCI / PIO: not publicly listed — check with the PES Office of Admissions via admissions.pes.edu. Management fees are indicative for 2026-27 and subject to revision per university norms. For hostel, scholarship and education-loan assistance, confirm the current terms with the admissions office; FindUrCollege can help you get those figures in writing — +91 91126 50438 (phone/WhatsApp) or support@findurcollege.com.

On the Management / Higher-Fee figures above: PES’s own 2026-27 fee page does not publish a rupee amount for the Management/Higher-Fee/NRI/Foreign/OCI/PIO category — it states “Please contact the Office of Admissions or write to admissions@pes.edu.” The Rs 6–14 lakh/year band shown above is FindUrCollege’s indicative estimate carried over from prior admission cycles, not a figure PES has published for 2026-27. Confirm the exact current amount directly with PES before paying anything.

PES University Bangalore Hostel — Fees & Facilities

📌 In one line: PES runs the Ring Road boys’ hostel directly; the Ring Road girls’ hostel and both Electronic City hostels are run by a third-party operator, Living Space — and neither publishes a fixed annual tariff.

PES University’s own hostel page splits accommodation into two parts. The Ring Road (RR) Boys’ Hostel is administered directly by PES — admission requires introducing a Local Guardian, attending a mandatory briefing session with the student, parent and Local Guardian present, submitting a filled hostel application form, and paying the hostel fee by demand draft in favour of “PESIT Hostel”, payable at Bengaluru. PES’s own hostel-admission page describes this four-step process in detail but does not publish a rupee figure for the annual hostel fee anywhere on that page.

For the RR Girls’ Hostel and the Boys’/Girls’ Hostel at the Electronic City campus, PES’s own hostel page directs students to a separate, third-party operator — Living Space (livingspaceblr.com) — for “complete information.” These hostels are not run in-house by PES University.

Not listed: an official annual hostel tariff for any of the four hostels. Confirm the current rate directly with the PES hostel office (for RR Boys’ Hostel) or with Living Space (for RR Girls’ and both EC hostels) before budgeting or paying anything — FindUrCollege can help you get this figure in writing at +91 91126 50438.

PES University Placements 2025

PES University's 2025 placement drive reported a median package of ~₹12 LPA, a highest package of ₹68 LPA, 1,500+ offers and 1,250+ internships from 350+ recruiters.

What Is the Average Package for CSE at PES University (2026)?

PES University's official placement summary gives consolidated figures, not a separate CSE-only average — the latest official numbers are from the 2025 drive: median ~₹12 LPA, highest ₹68 LPA. Official 2026-batch placement statistics have not been released yet. The same applies campus-wise: there is no separately published average package for the Electronic City (EC) campus — placements are reported for the university as a whole (RR and EC together). Treat CSE-specific or campus-specific "average package" figures quoted on portals and forums as unofficial estimates, and verify branch-wise data with the PES placement office before deciding.

Metric2025
Highest package₹68 LPA
Median / average package~₹12 LPA

Internship offers1,250+

Recruiters include: Amazon, Apple, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, Intel, NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Flipkart, SAP, Siemens, and others across technology, finance, and consulting.

Official source note: PES University’s own placement page (pes.edu/placements) does not name a dated Placement Brochure or report alongside the median, highest and recruiter figures above — treat them as institute-reported, current as of PES’s own public disclosure, pending a named source document. Independent aggregator estimates for the highest package run somewhat lower (roughly Rs 60–65 LPA for the 2024/25 seasons) than the Rs 68 LPA PES states; aggregators are not treated as an admissible source on FindUrCollege, so PES’s own Rs 68 LPA figure is retained above, but the gap is flagged here rather than silently resolved.

PES University Cutoff 2026 — KCET & JEE Main (PESU Merit)

📌 In one line: KEA UGCET-2026 official allotment closed CSE at rank 628 (Ring Road/E009) and 3,057 (Electronic City/E141), General Merit; JEE Main / PESU Merit needs about 98.67 percentile for CSE.

KCET Cutoff — Official 2026 Allotment & 2025 Reference

KCET 2025 closing ranks for PES University's Ring Road campus (college code E009) — retained here as reference history; the official KCET 2026 allotment cut-offs, published by KEA on 15 July 2026, are in the table further below. Note: these KEA closing ranks are separate from the PESU KCET merit / rank list that PES publishes on admissions.pes.edu after KCET results for its own counselling rounds — the KEA cutoffs below are what decide KCET government-quota seat allotment.

General Merit (GM) — all six branches:

Figures shown are Round 1, "General" sub-category (KCET also has separate Kannada-medium and Rural sub-quota ranks). CSE is the most competitive branch; Biotechnology and Mechanical are the most accessible. Electronic City (EC) campus uses a separate college code (E141) — its official KCET 2026 closing ranks are in the table below.

KCET 2026 Official Allotment Cut-off (KEA)

Official UGCET-2026 (KCET) allotment cut-off ranks published by KEA on 15 July 2026 — General Merit (GM), Rest-of-Karnataka seat type. KEA lists PES University under two college codes: E009 (100 Feet Ring Road, Banashankari) and E141 (Electronic City Campus). The KEA sheet carries two separate CSE programme entries per campus; both are reproduced below as published. KEA's own sheet does not print a distinguishing name for the second row — FindUrCollege identifies it as CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), based on PES's own six-branch B.Tech list (CSE, CSE (AI & ML), ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Biotechnology — exactly six, matching KEA's six rows per college code) and cross-checked against independent 2026 cutoff compilations that label this row the same way. Confirm against the official KEA sheet directly if you need certainty for a rank near this cutoff.

JEE Main Cutoff (PESU Merit)

For the all-India route, PES University admits B.Tech students on the PESU Merit list built from JEE Main percentiles. A JEE Main percentile of around 98.67 is typically needed for CSE; ECE and EEE close a little lower. There is no separate PES entrance exam for B.Tech — your JEE Main score is the qualifier, and PESU considers the best of your two 2026 attempts.

PES University B.Tech Seats 2026-27 — Intake Split

📌 In one line: PES fills seats by a fixed route split — KCET ~40%, JEE Main/PESU Merit ~45%, Management ~15% — the absolute branch-wise seat count is published on PES’s own Program Intake page, not reproduced here.

B.Tech intake split by admission route (per PES’s own admission communications)
RouteShare of Intake
KCET (Karnataka Government Quota)~40%
JEE Main / PESU Merit~45%
Management / Higher-Fee Quota~15%

Not listed here: the absolute per-branch seat count. PES publishes it on its own official Program Intake page (pes.edu, with separate RR/EC/HN campus tabs), but that page loads its seat table per campus tab rather than as static text on one page, so FindUrCollege has not reproduced exact branch-wise numbers on this page. Confirm the current sanctioned intake per branch directly on PES’s Program Intake page or with the Office of Admissions before finalising your preference order.

Does PES University Accept COMEDK?

No. PES University does not accept COMEDK scores for B.Tech admission. Karnataka-domicile students are admitted through KCET (government quota), all-India students through JEE Main / PESU Merit, and the remaining seats through the Management / Higher-Fee quota. COMEDK is used by many other Bangalore private colleges, but PES University is not a COMEDK-participating institute. If you have only a COMEDK rank, your route into PES is the management quota, not COMEDK counselling. In other words, there is no "PES University B.Tech CSE fee through COMEDK" — a CSE seat without a KCET rank or PESU JEE-merit rank is a management-quota seat at the higher-fee slab (indicative ₹14 lakh/yr for CSE in 2026-27).

PES University B.Tech Admission 2026 — Routes & Eligibility

PES University accepts only JEE Main and KCET scores for B.Tech — there is no separate PES entrance test for engineering. B.Tech 2026 admission is through three routes:

RouteShare of IntakeHow to Apply
KCET (Karnataka Government Quota)40%Karnataka CET counselling (KEA), college code E009
JEE Main / PESU Merit45%Register at admissions.pes.edu
Management / Higher-Fee Quota15%Apply through the PES Office of Admissions — admissions.pes.edu (FindUrCollege assists: +91 91126 50438)

Eligibility: 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at 10+2, plus a valid JEE Main or KCET score. JEE Main applicants: PESU considers the best of your two 2026 attempts. KCET applicants: your final KCET 2026 rank is considered.

B.Tech Admission Process

  1. Register at admissions.pes.edu and pay the application fee to create your admission dashboard.
  2. Upload scores — once JEE Main / KCET results are out, sign in and upload your scores as instructed.
  3. PESU merit rank list — PES announces its PESU JEE Main / PESU KCET merit rank list.
  4. Counselling & admission — attend counselling at PES, select your seat, and complete admission.

Note on PESSAT: PESSAT (PES's own entrance test) is not used for B.Tech admission. It is retained only for some non-engineering programmes (e.g. BBA, BCA). If you're applying for B.Tech, KCET or JEE Main is your route — not PESSAT.

Documents Commonly Required for Engineering Admission in Karnataka

General guidance — confirm the exact list against your PES admission offer letter:

Is PES University a Deemed or Private University?

PES University is a private state university — not a deemed university. It was established under the PES University Act, 2013 (Karnataka Act 16 of 2013) and is UGC-recognised with NAAC A++ accreditation. It traces to the People's Education Society, founded in 1972 (PES Institute of Technology, 1988), and was granted university status in 2013. Students from all states can apply through JEE Main (all-India) or the management route; KCET is for Karnataka-domicile candidates.

PES University Campuses — Ring Road (RR) vs Electronic City (EC)

PES University runs B.Tech at two Bangalore campuses. The degree certificate says only "PES University" — it does not mention the campus.

PES also runs a medical college, PESIMSR, at Kuppam (Andhra Pradesh) — separate from the Bangalore engineering campuses.

How to Get Admission via Management / NRI Quota

If you don't have the KCET rank or Karnataka domicile, the Management / Higher-Fee quota (~15% of intake) is your route into PES University. Seats are limited and fill early in the cycle.

WhatsApp FindUrCollege at +91 91126 50438 for free guidance on PES University management/NRI-quota admission, branch-vs-fee planning, and how it compares with other Bangalore engineering colleges.

PES University vs RVCE vs BMSCE — Comparison

Why the KCET-route fee differs so much

RVCE and BMSCE are long-established VTU-affiliated colleges whose KCET-route tuition (₹83,526/yr) sits inside Karnataka’s fee-regulation regime for that seat category. PES University is a self-financing private university outside that regime, so its KCET/JEE-merit tuition (₹5.5 lakh/yr for CSE) is a university-set fee, not a state-regulated one — the two numbers are not directly comparable as “government seat vs private seat” the way they might look at first glance. On placement outcomes, the three sit close together: highest packages cluster in the ₹50–68 LPA range and all three report recruiter counts in the hundreds.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. PES University does not accept COMEDK scores for B.Tech admission. Admission is through KCET (Karnataka government quota), JEE Main (PESU Merit), or the Management / Higher-Fee quota.
No. PES University is a private state university established under the PES University Act, 2013 — UGC-recognised and NAAC A++ accredited. It is not a deemed-to-be university.
The KEA UGCET-2026 allotment (published 15 July 2026) closed Computer Science and Engineering at rank 628 for the Ring Road campus (college code E009) and rank 3,057 for the Electronic City campus (E141), General Merit. For historical reference, the KCET 2025 Round 1 General Merit closing rank for CSE at Ring Road was about 934, rising to around 1,654 by the final Round 3 as seats vacated.
Around 98.67 percentile for CSE via the PESU Merit list; ECE and EEE typically close a little lower.
KCET / JEE-merit tuition is Rs 4.5-5.5 lakh/year depending on branch, per PES's official 2026-27 fee page. PES does not publicly list a Management / Higher-Fee or NRI amount — it directs applicants to contact the Office of Admissions for that figure. A one-time Rs 10,000 administrative charge also applies.
PES University's own placement summary for the 2025 batch states a median package of around Rs 12 LPA and a highest package of Rs 68 LPA, from 350+ recruiting companies. PES has not named a Placement Brochure or dated document alongside these figures on its public placement page, so treat them as institute-reported pending a named source.
No. PESSAT is not used for B.Tech admission - B.Tech is admitted via KCET and JEE Main (PESU Merit) only. PESSAT is retained for some non-engineering programmes.
No. The certificate says only "PES University" - it does not mention which campus you studied at.

Extended FAQs — PES University Bangalore

Yes - through JEE Main (all-India route) or the management quota. KCET is specifically for Karnataka-domicile candidates.
Not listed. PES's official 2026-27 fee page does not publish a rupee figure for the Higher-Fee/Management/NRI/Foreign/OCI/PIO category — it asks applicants to contact the Office of Admissions (admissions@pes.edu) directly. Treat any specific NRI fee number you see elsewhere, including the indicative range shown on this page, as an estimate, not PES's own published figure.
Not for 2026-27. PES's own fee page lists the KCET/JEE-merit tuition by branch but leaves the Management/Higher-Fee category as "contact the Office of Admissions." The Rs 6-14 lakh/year band shown on this page is FindUrCollege's indicative estimate based on prior admission cycles, not a figure PES has published for 2026-27 - confirm the exact current amount with PES or FindUrCollege before paying anything.
No, and PES does not run every hostel itself. The Ring Road boys' hostel is managed directly by PES, but the Ring Road girls' hostel and the Electronic City boys'/girls' hostel are managed by a third-party operator, Living Space (livingspaceblr.com) - not by PES University. Neither PES's hostel pages nor Living Space publish a fixed annual tariff, so the hostel fee is not listed here; confirm the current rate with the relevant hostel office before applying.
All three are private KCET options in Bangalore, and their CSE numbers sit in a clear order. RVCE's 2025 KCET CSE closing rank (~499, General Merit) is the tightest of the three, followed by PES (628, KEA UGCET-2026, Ring Road/E009) and then BMSCE (an estimated 4,000-6,000 for 2025). See the comparison table further down this page for fees and placement figures side by side.
Use E009 for the Ring Road (Banashankari) campus and E141 for the Electronic City campus - KEA lists them as two separate codes with separate closing ranks on the UGCET-2026 allotment sheet. JEE Main / PESU Merit applicants do not need a KCET code at all; they apply directly at admissions.pes.edu.
PES states that KCET fills about 40% of seats, JEE Main / PESU Merit about 45%, and the Management / Higher-Fee quota about 15% — a percentage split PES has communicated directly. PES publishes the exact branch-wise seat count on its own official Program Intake page (pes.edu, RR/EC/HN campus tabs), but that page's seat table loads by campus tab rather than as static text, so the absolute per-branch numbers are not listed on this page; confirm them directly on PES's Program Intake page or with the Office of Admissions.
Most likely, yes, though KEA's own sheet does not print a distinguishing name for it. PES's six B.Tech branches are CSE, CSE (AI & ML), ECE, EEE, Mechanical and Biotechnology - exactly six, matching the six rows KEA lists per college code. The second CSE row's ranks (971 for E009, 3,477 for E141) sit between the plain-CSE and ECE rows, consistent with independent 2026 cutoff compilations that label this row "CSE (AI & ML)". Confirm against the KEA UGCET-2026 sheet directly if you need certainty for a specific rank near this cutoff.
