For IIT Delhi, students must clear JEE Main (Paper 1) to qualify for JEE Advanced, and then clear JEE Advanced with a rank good enough for IIT Delhi's CSE/EE/CE programs. CSE at IIT Delhi typically requires JEE Advanced AIR below 200 in the general category. The IIT Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process allocates seats. IIT Delhi offers BTech in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and specialized programs in Engineering Physics and Mathematics & Computing.
Delhi Technological University (DTU), NSUT, IGDTU, and IIIT Delhi are filled primarily through JEE Main score-based counselling managed by JAC Delhi (Joint Admissions Counselling Delhi). DTU CSE typically requires JEE Main percentile above 99 in general category — it is one of the most competitive state government engineering colleges in India.
