Aggregator estimates are not used.
Evidence note. Check the academic year printed beside every changing figure — fees, cut-offs and seat counts are reissued each cycle. Nothing on this page should be multiplied into a multi-year total beyond the tables that state it, and a published seat or hostel capacity is what exists, not what you are assured of.

What to weigh, in two numbers: an Open CAP seat here costs the FRA fee of ₹1,49,689 a year, and the median placed graduate of the 2024-25 batch earned ₹5.00 lakh (DYPCOE’s NIRF 2026 filing). The location puts you beside the Pimpri-Chinchwad plants; the 2025-26 named top offers include Toshiba India, Hyundai and Johnson Controls.

- NBA: NBA accredits programmes, not colleges. Its letter of 6 January 2026 accredits Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering until 31 December 2028. Institute-level (management) seat: it has its own yearly fee, not the CAP fee plus a lump sum. The college’s signed 2025-26 sheet set it at ₹4,05,000 a year (three times the ₹1,35,000 regular fee) and an NRI seat at ₹6,75,000, the same every year. The 2026-27 figure is not published (“Updating soon”), so get it in writing before you pay; under the FRA’s rule it cannot exceed three times this year’s regular fee of ₹1,45,500. If anyone asks for a one-time “development contribution”, do not pay it: CET Cell notice 2211 of 9 September 2026 calls any fee above the FRA fee illegal.

Hostel & Campus Life — DYPCOE Akurdi
The DYPCOE campus in Akurdi offers on-campus residential facilities for both boys and girls. The campus is strategically located just 5 minutes from Akurdi Railway Station, providing excellent connectivity to Pune city and Pimpri-Chinchwad MIDC.
D Y Patil Residency, on the Akurdi complex: single rooms and three-seater rooms. Its 2025-26 card charges ₹2.00L a year for a bed in a three-seater and ₹2.60L for a single room, meals included; AC rooms cost extra, and you can pay in instalments. The college publishes no capacity figure.
The same D Y Patil Residency takes girls, on the same 2025-26 card: ₹2.00L–₹2.60L a year, meals included. DYPCOE publishes no capacity or safety details for it, so visit before you book and ask about the warden, entry rules and CCTV.
Meals are part of the Residency tariff: breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner Monday to Saturday, and breakfast, lunch and tea on Sunday (2025-26 card).
Cricket ground, football field, basketball court, volleyball court, and a fully equipped gymnasium. The college participates in inter-collegiate sports events and SPPU athletics championships. The cultural fest is Dazzle and the tech fest Tantra.

DYPCOE does not publish a PPO count or a conversion rate. Its signed 2024-25 placement report lists every placed student with branch, company and job role, and has no offer-type column — so if you are quoted a PPO percentage for this campus, ask which document it came from.

- Akurdi Campus (DYPCOE, CAP code 06272): set up in 1984, autonomous since 2024-25, and harder to get into — Computer Engineering closed at 98.13 in CAP Round I 2026.
- Pimpri Campus (Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Technology, CAP code 06207): a separate SPPU-affiliated college. One of the most damaging factual errors on aggregator pages: lumping the three D.Y. Patil engineering options together. They are three completely distinct institutions with different admission codes, fee structures, status and degree value. Verify the exact name before applying.

🧠 DYPIU Akurdi (Private University) — Semiconductor & Bioengineering Tracks
The D.Y. Patil International University (DYPIU) on the broader Akurdi complex is a separate private state university, established in 2018 and recognised by the UGC and the Government of Maharashtra. It admits outside CAP, so there is no MHT-CET CAP cut-off for DYPIU — a DY Patil International University “cut off” quoted against MHT-CET is not a CET Cell figure. Distinct from DYPCOE (this page), DYPIU offers:
- Quantum Computing: offered as an M.Tech (CSE) specialisation, not a B.Tech (DYPIU programme list).
- B.Tech Semiconductor Engineering: listed on DYPIU's programme page.
- B.Tech Cybersecurity / Data Science: Industry-aligned 4-year tracks.
- B.Tech Bioengineering: listed on DYPIU's programme page.
- Admission routes: DYPIU Entrance Test, PERA CET (Preeminent Education & Research Association consortium), JEE Main score, or 12th PCM merit. NOT through Maharashtra MHT-CET CAP — DYPIU sits outside state CAP.
- Fee structure: Rs 1.55L to 3.0L per year by branch (CSE Rs 2.6L, AI-ML Rs 3.0L — official DYPIU fee table) — significantly higher than DYPCOE's ~Rs 1,49,689 (CAP) due to private-university self-funded status. State scholarships (EBC, TFWS) generally do NOT apply to DYPIU in the same form as SPPU-affiliated colleges.

DYPCOE's 5-minute proximity to Akurdi Railway Station is a meaningful but under-discussed competitive advantage in the Pune engineering ecosystem.
- Mumbai-Pune corridor access: Akurdi station is on the central Pune-Mumbai railway route. Recruiters from Mumbai (Reliance, TCS BKC, BFSI sector) frequently conduct pool placement drives at Akurdi-belt colleges due to easy day-trip accessibility.
- Pune Metro Purple Line: PCMC-Swargate metro corridor operational; future Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Line 3 will further reduce student commute to the IT corridor.
- PCMC industrial belt adjacency: Tata Motors (Pimpri-Chinchwad), Force Motors, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra, Forbes Marshall, KPIT, John Deere, Cummins India, Volkswagen — all within 30 min commute. The Mechanical / E&TC departments at DYPCOE benefit directly via MOUs and on-campus recruitment.
