The ₹1,80,970 total is an admission bill, not annual tuition. The full-fee schedule has ₹1,68,350 under group A and ₹12,620 under group B. Group B includes development, admission, caution and library deposits and other listed charges.
The state table grants the half-tuition rate to eligible male OBC/SEBC/EWS applicants and eligible Open-category males with family income up to ₹8 lakh. It lists tuition exemption for SC/ST/VJ/NT applicants and eligible female applicants in the specified concession groups. Concessions require the supporting certificates; an All India Quota reserved-category allocation does not automatically receive the state concession.
Read the fee-category conditions and individual heads on pages 14–15 of Grant’s 2026–27 admission brochure. Do not multiply the first-year total by five to estimate the entire course.
Hostel charges and Mumbai living costs
The Grant brochure lists hostel charges after allotment: a one-time ₹1,000 deposit, ₹4,000 annual rent and ₹36 annual electricity charge. These are separate from the admission totals above. A published hostel rate does not by itself reserve accommodation.
Budget separately for meals, travel, books, instruments and personal expenses. Before choosing accommodation outside campus, consider the travel required for teaching and hospital postings.
Seat-lapse penalty and admission responsibilities
Page 4 of the 2026 brochure specifies a ₹10 lakh penalty where resignation after the prescribed date causes a seat to lapse, or where the admitted candidate fails to complete the course. It applies irrespective of All India or state quota. Read this as a seat-lapse/course-completion provision, not as a description of a rural-service posting.
Check the official counselling rules before resignation or upgrade decisions. Grant’s brochure states that it has not appointed an admission agency; allotment takes place through the MCC or State CET Cell process.

The brochure requires the candidate to report personally; proxy reporting is not accepted. Prepare the applicable All India or state scrutiny form, original certificates, two sets of self-attested copies, the prescribed medical-fitness form and hostel declarations where relevant.
