How to read this: the median is the honest headline for a typical outcome; the highest package is one extreme result. These numbers combine two programmes and should not be presented as PGDM-only data or compared with a report covering a different cohort definition. Read the table literally: “participants” (336) counts students in the placement process, not the full enrolled batch, and no placement percentage is published. The 161 pre-placement offers are offers extended, not seats skipped — the report itself says 40–50% of the batch is placed through the internship-and-competition PPO route, and PPO-holders are signed out of the next hiring cycle. The salary bands are cumulative shares of the same 336 participants — everyone above ₹40 lakh is also inside the 53% and the 90% — a record of one year’s outcomes, not personal odds. And CTC is cost-to-company, not take-home pay: do not divide ₹30.5 lakh by twelve and expect that in hand.

In one line: As an Indian applicant you need 75 percentile in every section and 85 percentile overall in CAT or GMAT/GMAT Focus. That is the 2026–28 cutoff, the latest official numeric reference — the 2027–29 table is not published yet.

Worked example: a CAT candidate with 90 overall percentile but 72 percentile in one section does not satisfy the published 2026–28 rule. Read “minimum” literally. Clearing the cutoff is eligibility for consideration, not a guaranteed interview. And read the routes literally: CAT or in-person GMAT are the only listed ways in — SPJIMR publishes no management-quota, donation or direct-admission route for PGDM or PGDM(BM).
XAT warning: an XAT score will not get you into flagship PGDM or PGDM(BM) — SPJIMR does not list it for either. It may be accepted by another SPJIMR programme, which is why aggregator pages often mix the routes.

SPJIMR Eligibility Criteria
In one line: You need a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 50%, and you can apply as a fresher or with up to five years of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university. Read 50% as the minimum to apply, not the admitted-class profile — academics are weighed again at shortlisting, so meeting the floor is not the same as being competitive.
- Final-year bachelor’s students may apply, subject to completing the degree requirements by the institute’s stated deadline.
- Work experience is not mandatory; the published range is freshers to five years. Read the upper limit literally: more than five years puts you outside the published PGDM/PGDM(BM) range — SPJIMR’s PGPM is its published experienced-professional route.
- CAT or in-person GMAT is required for flagship PGDM and PGDM(BM).
- PGDM(BM) is open only to Indian nationals; PGDM has the separately stated international-category provision.

SPJIMR ROI: What the Official Numbers Support
In one line: Do not read the fee-to-salary ratio as a payback period. The indicative ₹24.86 lakh programme fee is about 0.82 times the combined Class of 2025 median CTC of ₹30.5 lakh, and that is all it is — two published numbers divided.
The ratio does not subtract taxes, living costs, loan interest or foregone income, and it uses a combined PGDM/PGDM(BM) median rather than an individual salary. Both inputs will also move for a 2027 entrant — the fee is subject to revision and that entrant’s own placement season is 2029 — so it compares two published numbers from different years, nothing more.

No — SPJIMR awards an AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management, not a university MBA degree. Most people search for it as an MBA, which is why that word appears here, but the credential you receive is a PGDM or PGDM(BM).
What is the SPJIMR Mumbai PGDM fee?
₹24,86,000 for Indian participants, in both PGDM and PGDM(BM) — and that is the fee for the whole two-year programme, not a per-year figure.
